Margot & Rudi

Margot & Rudi is a romantic drama entering pre-production under the direction of Anthony Fabian, who previously helmed Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. The film stars Naomi Watts as Margot Fonteyn and Alexandr Trush, principal dancer with the Hamburg Ballet, as Rudolf Nureyev. The supporting cast includes Richard E. Grant, Demián Bichir, and Harriet Walter. Written by Olivia Hetreed, the film explores the complex artistic and personal relationship between Fonteyn and Nureyev, whose partnership in the 1960s transformed both their careers. The project is produced by Mike Goodridge for Good Chaos, Anthony Fabian for Elysian Films, Olivia Hetreed for Sympathetic Ink, and Chris Coen, with executive producers Thom Mount, Jeffrey Berg, and Andy Paterson. WestEnd Films has boarded world sales and will introduce the project to buyers at Cannes Film Festival in May. Production is scheduled to begin in October 2026, though filming locations have yet to be confirmed.
