Monarch of the Glen

Monarch of the Glen returns to the Scottish Highlands in a six-episode reimagining for PBS Masterpiece and UK network 5. The series is produced by Ecosse Films, the company behind the original 2000-2005 BBC series, in association with Northern Ireland Screen and Banijay Rights. Jeremy Brock created and wrote the new version, with Stephen Greenhorn as additional writer and Tom Vaughan directing and executive producing. The producing team includes Alex Boyd, Robert Bernstein, and Douglas Rae, with Rob Darnell and Adam Duncan executive producing for Ecosse Films and Susanne Simpson for Masterpiece. Production is scheduled to film in Scotland and Northern Ireland in the latter half of 2026, with development support from The National Lottery through Screen Scotland. The project was commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell and Paul Testar for Paramount UK's Channel 5.
