Murder in a Small Town

Murder in a Small Town returns for its third season on Fox, with production currently underway in Gibsons, British Columbia. The Canadian crime drama stars Rossif Sutherland as Karl Alberg, a former big-city detective now serving as police chief in the quiet coastal town of Gibsons, alongside Kristin Kreuk as Cassandra Lee, the local librarian. The 10-episode third season adds Peter Gallagher as Rod Finlayson in a season-long arc. Based on L. R. Wright's Karl Alberg mystery novels, the series is produced by Sepia Films in association with Fox Entertainment and Future Shack Entertainment, with Ian Weir serving as showrunner. Production began in February 2026 on the Sunshine Coast and is expected to wrap in early June, with a fall 2026 premiere planned for Fox and Global in Canada.
