My Darling California

My Darling California reunites writer-director Elijah Bynum (Magazine Dreams) with an all-star ensemble for his next feature, a crime thriller headed into pre-production. Chris Evans joins the cast alongside Jessica Chastain, Chris Pine, Mikey Madison, Charles Melton, and Don Cheadle in this 1980s-set Los Angeles story. The film is produced by David Hinojosa and Alex Coco, with Sebastien Raybaud, and executive produced by Zach Nutman. Anton is financing and will handle international sales. Production companies 2AM and Anton are behind the project. The creative team includes cinematographer Chayse Irvin (BlacKkKlansman), editor Leslie Jones (The Master), production designer Judy Becker (The Brutalist), and costume designer Erin Benach (Drive). Filming is scheduled to begin in late summer or September 2026, with Los Angeles serving as the primary location.
