Popeye the Slayer Man 2 is currently in production in upstate New York, continuing the public-domain horror reimagining that debuted in 2025. Robert Michael Ryan returns to direct from a screenplay by John Doolan, with Jason Robert Stephens reprising the title role of the contaminated-spinach-fueled killer. The sequel adds Daniel Baldwin as the town mayor and Avaryana Rose as his daughter to a returning cast that includes Sean Michael Conway, Elena Juliano, Sarah Nicklin, and Nathan Todaro. Salem House Films leads a co-production with Millman Productions, Cloud 9 Productions, Babe Entertainment, Ron Lee Productions, and Otsego Media. Producer Jeff Miller describes the sequel as bigger and bloodier than its predecessor, with expanded backstory and practical gore effects. Principal photography began in early May 2026, with the production actively crewing in the New York region.
