Project Summary

Puzzle Box is an English-language horror feature written and directed by Mikko Kodisoja, co-founder of gaming giant Supercell, making his directorial debut. The film stars Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Charlie Murphy and is currently shooting at Fireframe Studios' purpose-built virtual production facility in Helsinki. The story follows a fractured family that retreats to a remote winter villa, hoping to reconnect, but when the children discover a mysterious puzzle box hidden in the ruins of a neighboring house, they unknowingly unleash imprisoned spirits. Kodisoja's background in gaming informs the project's approach to immersive storytelling, with production leveraging LED volume screens and real-time technology. Fireframe Studios is fully financing and producing the film in-house as the first project in its slate of immersive-first features.
