Quest for Love

Quest for Love marks writer-director Antonia Campbell-Hughes' third feature, with Oscar nominee Rooney Mara starring as Maris and also serving as executive producer. Mara plays a woman who tears through Paris with her estranged son Maxy, exploring her capacity for human connection while her nocturnal habits hint at dangerous violence beneath the surface. Vicky Krieps joins as Alex, a devoted old flame whose re-ignited relationship with Maris forces a deadly choice between maternal instinct and romantic obsession. Wild Atlantic Pictures' Macdara Kelleher and John Keville produce, with Luxembourg's Les Films Fauves co-producing through Gilles Chanial. The project was developed through the joint Screen Ireland and Luxembourg Film Fund initiative for female and non-binary filmmakers launched at Cannes 2023. HanWay Films is launching international sales at the 2026 Cannes market, with WME Independent handling North American rights. Production will take place in Paris, with the film representing a character-driven exploration of violence and womanhood.
