Reputation

Reputation is a six-part legal drama from creator and writer Anya Reiss, reuniting with production company The Forge after their collaboration on Becoming Elizabeth. The series centers on Elaine, a lawyer who has built her career defending free expression, and global pop star Davina Knight, whose new song accusing her ex-husband Billy of abusive behavior triggers a very public libel battle. Set in London—the global capital of high-stakes libel cases—the drama explores how the case spills beyond the courtroom as PR machines deploy, laws are bent, and social media platforms become judge and jury. Mahalia Belo will direct all six episodes, with Alex Kazamia producing. Additional writers include Shyam Popat and Karla Crome. The series has been commissioned by BBC Drama director Lindsay Salt for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with international distribution by Banijay Rights.
