Shadow of Guilt

Shadow of Guilt returns to the Fjällbacka universe created by bestselling Swedish crime novelist Camilla Läckberg, marking the first time her iconic character Erica Falck will appear as a teenager in the backstory. Produced by Jenny Grewdahl for Creative Society Production, the six-episode limited series is directed by Liza Farzaneh, known for Young Royals and The Glass Dome. Written by Jimmy Nivrén Olsson and Jessika Jankert, the series explores what happens when the remains of Erica's childhood best friend are discovered more than two decades after her disappearance. While Erica's husband Patrik leads the official investigation, Erica's distrust of the original police work drives her to launch her own parallel search for truth. The production is backed by SVT, Film i Väst, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, Creative Europe, and New8. Principal photography begins August 18, 2026 in the fishing village of Fjällbacka in western Sweden, with a summer 2027 premiere planned for SVT and the New8 territories.
