Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten is an alien invasion thriller currently in pre-production. Director Egor Abramenko, who helmed the Russian sci-fi feature Sputnik and is behind A24's upcoming Altar, leads the project from a script by Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins, the writing team behind Hellraiser and The Night House. The screenplay is based on a short story by Nick Antosca, creator-showrunner of Apple TV's Cape Fear series. Dave Franco and Sophie Wilde star as Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple who travel to a secluded mountain resort to exchange vows. What begins as an intimate family wedding spirals when uninvited guests arrive. Anton is financing the film and handling worldwide rights, with producers including Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund for Eat the Cat, Sébastien Raybaud for Anton, Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks for Divide/Conquer, Nick Shumaker for Anonymous Content, and Dawn Olmstead. Production design comes from Masha Slavina, who previously collaborated with Abramenko on Altar and Sputnik, with alien design from Monkey Rave. Principal photography is set to begin this summer.
