Project Summary
In 1935 during the Great Depression, 21-year-old Sylvia Flexer and a group of friends protest at a government building in New York. The protesters are young men and women with disabilities who are demanding an end to government discrimination against disabled workers. Franklin D. Roosevelt, who is secretly a President in a wheelchair, sees Sylvia and her group as a threat to his presidency as he doesn't want to be associated with disability issues with an election looming.
