The Club

Berlin-based production company Flimmer has secured the screen rights to develop an English-language feature film adaptation of Takis Würger's bestselling novel The Club. The project, currently in development, has attached German-London filmmaker Mischa Gurevich as writer and director. Gurevich, who recently completed the short film Below the Open and studied at Cambridge himself, brings personal experience to the material. The story follows a young outsider drawn into the secretive and toxic world of a Cambridge members club, exploring themes of privilege, loyalty, and moral descent. Flimmer managing director Christopher Zwickler is producing. The novel, first published in German in 2017, was an international bestseller and draws from Würger's own experiences at Cambridge University.
