Project Summary
The true story of Mick Dennis, one of eight Australian Z Special commandos who landed on Japanese-held Muschu Island off the coast of New Guinea on April 11, 1945, for Operation Copper. Their mission was to observe Japanese defenses and confirm the location of two concealed naval guns commanding the approaches to Wewak Harbour. However, their presence was discovered, leading to a fight for survival. Dennis was the sole survivor and made it back to safety.
