Project Summary

In the late 1980s/early 1990s, a family-owned gas station in Bellevue, WA, became known for its community care, especially for elderly customers. A loyal patron willed her 1961 Dodge Lancer to the station's owner, recognizing exceptional service. This car later became a lifeline for Louise West during hardships. Dubbed "The Station of Love," it fostered acts of kindness and family connections, even leading to marriages within the family. Eventually, the family moved to Montana for safety. Years later, the Dodge Lancer returned, symbolizing the enduring legacy of compassion. Now, it's passed to the next generation, embodying family history and a rite of passage.
