The Nanny Diaries

The Nanny Diaries is heading into development as a series at Netflix, with Scarlett Johansson executive producing through her These Pictures banner. Johansson starred in the 2007 film adaptation of the same property. Amy Chozick and Jenny Bicks are writing and will serve as showrunners on the project, which hails from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the 2002 novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, which became a number-one New York Times bestseller and has been translated into more than 20 languages. Joining as executive producers are Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman for Berlanti Productions, Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn for These Pictures, and Gary Barber and Sean Hoagland for Spyglass Media Group. The project marks a reunion for Johansson and Berlanti, who first discussed adapting the book into a series while working together on the 2024 Apple film Fly Me to the Moon.
