The Perfect Holiday (Der perfekte Urlaub)

The Perfect Holiday is the German sequel to 2019's box-office phenomenon The Perfect Secret, which itself was adapted from Paolo Genovese's widely remade Perfect Strangers. Director Bora Dagtekin returns with his signature ensemble cast including Elyas M'Barek, Karoline Herfurth, Florian David Fitz, Jella Haase, Frederick Lau, Wotan Wilke Möhring, and Jessica Schwarz. Currently in post-production, the film was produced by Lena Schömann for Constantin Film, with Dagtekin writing the screenplay and Oliver Berben serving as executive producer. The project received support from FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Filmförderungsanstalt, and Deutscher FilmFörderFonds. Principal photography took place on the Spanish island of Mallorca, with locations including Artà and Cala Llombards. Constantin Film has set an October 2026 theatrical release in Germany, while Berlin-based Picture Tree International is handling international sales, introducing the project to buyers at the Cannes Market with plans for a market premiere at AFM 2026 in Los Angeles.
