Project Summary
The White Lotus returns for a fourth season, currently filming across the French Riviera. Creator Mike White is directing all episodes of the anthology drama, which follows guests and employees at two White Lotus properties during the Cannes Film Festival. Laura Dern joined the production in early May 2026, stepping into a newly written role after Helena Bonham Carter exited due to creative differences shortly after filming began. The casting reunites Dern with White, her collaborator on HBO's Enlightened and the film Year of the Dog. Production is underway at the Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez and the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, with additional filming in Monaco and Paris through October 2026. The ensemble includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Chris Messina, Kumail Nanjiani, Rosie Perez, Heather Graham, and Sandra Bernhard. White writes, directs, and executive produces alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine. HBO has not yet announced a premiere date, though early 2027 is expected.
