In 1975, 20 year old Anthony "Tony" Bourdain (Dominic Sessa), exuberant, wild, self-centered, incapable of telling the truth, heads to Cape Cod to join his girlfriend, NANCY, who wants nothing more than to break up with him. Heartbroken but unbowed, Tony winds up on a magical, unforeseeable and life-altering adventure when the dishwashing job he gets at the low-key but brilliant "Chowder House" in Provincetown proves to be the unlikely impetus for his astonishing career.
