Untitled Bernard Loiseau Biopic

Chi-Fou-Mi Productions and 31 Juin Films are developing a feature biopic about Bernard Loiseau, the celebrated French chef who earned three Michelin stars for his Burgundy restaurant La Côte d'Or in 1991 and became the first celebrity chef to list his restaurant on the stock exchange. The project is written and directed by Thomas Lilti, the César-nominated filmmaker known for his medical dramas including the 2014 feature Hippocrates and its Canal+ series adaptation. Chi-Fou-Mi, a Mediawan company led by Hugo Sélignac, is producing alongside Lilti's 31 Juin Films in partnership with the Loiseau family and Groupe Bernard Loiseau. The film will explore Loiseau's pursuit of culinary excellence, his rise to international acclaim, and the pressures that ultimately led to his death in 2003 at age 52. The project remains untitled and is currently in development, with no production dates or casting announced.
