Untitled Elizabeth Banks Comedy
Project Summary
Apple TV+ has greenlit an untitled half-hour comedy starring Elizabeth Banks, who plays Heidi, a woman navigating life after a messy divorce. Created and showrun by Liz Heldens (Will Trent, Friday Night Lights) and Matt Ward (Best Medicine, The Big Leap), the series follows Heidi as she stumbles into coordinating her father's retirement community sex dates, forcing her into an unlikely alliance with the perpetually single son of her father's girlfriend. The project is produced by 20th Television, where Heldens holds an overall deal. Banks executive produces through her Brownstone Productions banner alongside Max Handelman and Krissy Wall. Jonathan Krisel will direct the pilot and executive produce, with additional producers including Quinn Haberman for Selfish Mermaid and Jason Winer and Jon Radler for Small Dog Picture Company. Production is set to begin in Los Angeles later in 2026. The series marks a return to half-hour comedy for Banks, previously known for roles in 30 Rock and Scrubs.
