Up Yours!

This film tells the story of Marian Elliott, a biracial, working-class teenager who transforms into the punk alter ego Poly Styrene to front her band, X-Ray Spex. Her powerful voice and lyrics about identity and consumerism attract media attention, but the pressures of the music industry force her to confront her desire to simply be herself. The film was written and was to be directed by Nicola Mills. Unfortunately, Nicola Mills passed away in 2025. The feature film remains in active financing with producers Astrid Edwards and Alex Thiele.
