
Netflix is developing a new installment of Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City. The original cast members Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis will cast in the new series. Filming will start in March 2018, in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA.
Netflix is preparing a new installment of Armistead Maupin's LGBT-themed novel series Tales of the City. Michael Cunningham for The Hours has penned the first script. The project is envisioned to be a 10-episode series. Maupin will return as an executive producer and Alan Poul will be the director.
Project Synopsis:
The series tells the story of a woman who moves to San Francisco to start a new life. It focuses on the lives of the residents of a boarding house at 28 Barbary Lane. The series will be set on the present day and will center on the return of Linney's Mary Ann Singleton character to the boarding house in San Francisco, 25 years later.
