Canal Sur

Canal Sur is the flagship public television channel of Radio y Televisión de Andalucía (RTVA), the regional public broadcaster of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Spain. Launched on 28 February 1989, it was the fourth Spanish autonomous community to establish its own public TV channel. Canal Sur broadcasts news, entertainment, cultural programming, sports, and content celebrating Andalusian identity across two signals (Canal Sur 1 and Canal Sur 2), with the second channel providing full accessibility services including sign language, subtitles, and audio description. In 2021, RTVA launched CanalSurMás, its own OTT streaming platform, making it the first autonomous broadcaster in Spain to operate a full on-demand content service.
