Flimmer

Flimmer is a Berlin-based German film and television production company led by Managing Director and producer Christopher Zwickler. Originally founded in 2012 as a film trailer marketing start-up with Roland Emmerich and Marco Kreuzpaintner, the brand was reacquired by Zwickler in early 2025 from French media group Webedia, with the company's prior production entity Flute Film GmbH rebranding to Flimmer. The company is best known for producing the 2022 international musical fantasy feature The Magic Flute and has an active slate including a Netflix co-production about the humanitarian ship Iuventa. Flimmer now integrates both high-quality film and TV production and a dedicated marketing/audience engagement unit under one roof.
