About
G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. is an American film and television production company founded by rapper and entrepreneur Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson in 2003, specializing in scripted dramas, documentaries, and series centered on urban narratives and hip-hop culture. The company gained widespread industry recognition as the executive production banner behind the hit Starz franchise Power and its multiple spin-offs (Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Force), as well as BMF (Black Mafia Family). Following the end of its Starz deal, G-Unit signed a non-exclusive broadcast direct deal with Fox Entertainment in February 2023 to develop scripted dramas, live-action comedies, and animated series. In 2024, Jackson expanded the company's footprint by opening G-Unit Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana — a 985,000 sq ft production facility that became the second-largest Black-owned production studio in the United States.
