Founded in 2007 in Lisbon by legendary producer Paulo Branco, Leopardo Filmes is a Portuguese independent film production and distribution company whose productions are a regular presence at major international film festivals including Cannes, Venice, and Berlin. The company distributes quality independent films throughout Portugal across commercial theaters, cineclubs, and home video, and annually organizes the LEFFEST (Lisbon & Sintra Film Festival). Paulo Branco has produced approximately 300 films and is recognized as one of the most important figures in independent and auteur cinema worldwide.
