Mukta Arts Limited is one of India's foremost entertainment conglomerates, founded in 1978 by acclaimed filmmaker Subhash Ghai, with a film library of over 42 titles including 35 blockbusters spanning Hindi and regional cinema. The company operates across production, distribution (Mukta Movies Distributors), multiplex exhibition (Mukta A2 Cinemas — 18 locations, 54 screens including one in Bahrain), post-production (Audeus Studio), digital content (Mukta Digital Studio), and film education (Whistling Woods International, Asia's largest film and media school). In 2000, Mukta Arts became the first Hindi film production company to list on Indian stock exchanges, and it pioneered film insurance in India through its production of Taal.
