About
Nordisk Film & TV Fond (NFTVF) is a pan-Nordic public fund established in 1990 and based in Oslo, Norway, whose mission is to promote the Nordic audiovisual industry through funding and industry initiatives. The Fund provides top financing for high-quality Nordic feature films, drama series, and creative documentaries across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, and additionally supports dubbing and distribution of Nordic films. Governed by a board appointed by the Nordic Council of Ministers and funded by 17 parties (including national film institutes and public/private broadcasters), NFTVF administers the Nordic Council Film Prize, the Nordic Series Awards, and the Nordic Talents event for emerging filmmakers. With a 2026 budget of approximately NOK 130 million, the Fund is the region's leading cross-border audiovisual co-financing body.
