Daniel Kwan (born February 10, 1988) is an Oscar-winning American filmmaker, one half of the acclaimed directing duo known as 'the Daniels' alongside Daniel Scheinert. The pair rose to prominence directing viral music videos before co-writing and co-directing the absurdist features Swiss Army Man (2016) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), the latter winning seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Kwan and Scheinert operate their production banner Playgrounds under an overall deal with Universal Pictures and are currently in pre-production on their next untitled feature film.
