Liverpool-born, Academy Award and Emmy-nominated producer Lynette Howell Taylor is the founder of 51 Entertainment and a co-founder of Electric City Entertainment. She is best known for producing Bradley Cooper's directorial debut A Star Is Born (2018), which received eight Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, as well as acclaimed films including Half Nelson, Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines, Captain Fantastic, and The Accountant franchise. In 2025, she was elected the 37th President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — the youngest person in 70 years and first person born outside the U.S. in 28 years to hold the position.
