About

Roxanne Avent Taylor is a leading film producer and Co-CEO of Hidden Empire Film Group (HEFG), the independent production and distribution company she co-founded with director-husband Deon Taylor in 2000. She has developed, packaged, and produced a slate of commercially successful theatrical films including Black and Blue (Sony), The Intruder, Fatale (Lionsgate), Traffik, the Meet the Blacks franchise, and Supremacy, with HEFG amassing over $200 million in earnings. In 2021, she and Deon expanded HEFG into distribution by launching Hidden Empire Releasing, and in October 2025, the company signed with CAA for representation. She is also an active philanthropist through her C.L.I.M.B. mentoring program supporting underserved youth.
