About

Trevor Birney is a BAFTA and Emmy-nominated producer, award-winning director, and the founder of Fine Point Films, a Belfast-based independent production company established in 2012. He is best known for producing Kneecap (2024), which won the NEXT Audience Award at Sundance, a BAFTA, and Best British Independent Film at the BIFAs. His wide-ranging slate spans award-winning documentaries including No Stone Unturned (Alex Gibney), The Go-Go's, Cyndi Lauper: Let the Canary Sing, and Mercury 13, as well as scripted features. He is also the founder of television production company Below The Radar and investigative journalism site The Detail, and has authored two books.
