Rai Cinema

Rai Cinema S.p.A. is Italy's leading film production and domestic distribution company, wholly owned by RAI, the Italian national public broadcaster. Since its founding in 1999/2000, the company has invested nearly €1 billion in the co-production of over 900 films and backs roughly 50–70 feature films per year with an annual budget of up to €80 million. Through its domestic distribution division 01 Distribution and its newly launched international sales arm Rai Cinema International Distribution (launched February 2024), it is the dominant force in Italian independent and auteur cinema, both at home and increasingly on the global stage.
